Think I’m going to use the microblogvember challenge to help me get into the habit of posting more regularly while I figure out how to keep going after that.
Spent the morning dog walk photographing fallen leaves. Such an abundance of colour - perfect for my next watercolour class on colour matching 🎨

No hockey to play for me today so I’m up and on the sofa ready to watch England’s Red Roses 🌹 vs France 🐓 at the Rugby World Cup before I head out to help do the subs on the sideline for our 3rd team. It is sport Saturday after all.
Currently reading: The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss 📚
I’m finally ready to read this which was a gift from a friend 5+ years ago. Only a few pages in and seeing the influence of Ursula le Guin makes me think I’ll enjoy it.

Managed to limit my spending in Barter Books 📚

Awesome day out in the sunshine at Alnwick Garden

Finished reading: The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett 📚
A really engaging read. Left me wanting to seek out Bennett’s debut novel, The Mothers.
Finished reading: Treacle Walker by Alan Garner 📚
Best book I’ve read in a while. Raced through it in just a couple of sittings (which is rare for me) — I didn’t want to put it down.
Hmm, finished watching The Sandman and I still really don’t know how I feel about it. If anything I’m left a little underwhelmed 📺
Finished reading: I Didn’t Do The Thing Today by Madeleine Dore 📚
I enjoyed reading this and frequently found myself nodding along. My copy is covered in sticky notes and I’m looking forward to going back to review the highlights.
Finished reading: The End of Eddy by Edouard Louis 📚
Is it a novel? Is it autobiography? Does it matter? Either way I didn’t really manage to get into it and have to admit to skimming it towards the end.
What do you call a co-working space when you’re the only one in it? 🤔

Two days and two pretty dismal batting performances by England at the Commonwealth Games. They’re going to have to be at the top of their game in the field to win the bronze 🏏🥉
Finished reading: The Lamplighters by Emma Stonex 📚
Should have gone with my gut on this one and stopped reading before I’d committed too much to it. Meh 🤷🏼
Today I am thankful for the opportunity to get out and about (and walk more than 100 metres).
I am looking forward to a day at the beach tomorrow.
Negative test this morning = going on holiday this afternoon 🥳
